Jeffrey Cochran is a former Marine who has been in sports and athletics all his life. He is a journeyman OCR/trail runner participating in four Warrior Dashes, five Tough Mudders, three FTPR 25K’s, Spartan’s Vermont Beast World Championships, and a host of local mud runs. With a 1st place age group at local 5K road race and a 1st place finish in the two person mixed at the Rockin’ Marathon Relay, he is ready to improve on OCR/trail finishes of 14th overall at the Survival Race and 25th overall at the FTPR 25K.

When indoors, Jeffrey is a Human Resources Manager and father to a 10 year old boy, Trenton. Jeffrey strives to set a good example for his son, who already has two 5K mudruns under his belt, by exercising his mind, body, and soul.

In 2015, Jeffrey will focus on speed and endurance, primarily through running hills. He can be found training in local parks such as Hocking HIlls or Mohican State Park or in his favorite training ground the Mountain Goat Course.

“Struggling and suffering are the essence of a life worth living. If you’re not pushing yourself beyond the comfort zone, if you’re not demanding more from yourself – expanding and learning as you go – you’re choosing a numb existence. You’re denying yourself an extraordinary trip. – Dean Karnazes.
