Jacob Bosecker lunged head first into the world of obstacle course racing after this first Spartan race in 2013. Before this Jacob was a NJCAA regional pole vault champion, snowboarder, ultra-marathon cyclist, and parkour enthusiast. After a few years of endurance training, Jacob decided to focus mainly on preparing for events such as Spartan, OCR World Championships, and other local races. Jacob has to date completed five Spartan trifectas, as well as made a name for himself in the elite circuit with his agility and endurance. One of the highlights of his 2014 season was to take 5th in his age group in the first ever OCR World Championships.
In his training sessions you can find Jacob on the hills of Brown County State Park practicing hill repeats for the upcoming season. On the weekends Jacob also searches out places to further his skill set of parkour at locations like Downtown Boot Camp Indy, and B.A.S.E Fitness of Fishers Indiana. His unique form of training has given him advantages on tricky obstacles like the Platinum Rig.When Jacob is not training he is with his fiancée Jessica, and dog Razputin. In his spare time he loves cooking, hiking, and anything outdoors. Jacob is a designer at Cummins Inc. located in Columbus, Indiana where he works on breather systems and oil drain studies.
