Chad Spring entered the world of obstacle course racing in 2012 running the Tampa FL Tough Mudder followed by the 2013 Mansfield, Ohio Tough Mudder. Through continued intense training, Chad became a competitive OCR athlete during the 2014 season improving his performance with each race finishing 11th in age group at Mud Guts and Glory, 4th in age group at the Ohio Spartan Race Super Elite heat, and 7th age group finish at the OCR World Championships. You can often find Chad along the Olentangy trail in Columbus or at Highbanks Metro Park running with his weight vest and cranking out burpees. Speed work is his focus moving into the 2015 season.
Outside of OCR, Chad and his wife, Karen, have two wonderful boys, Grayson (2 yrs) and Miles (6 months). Chad works as a regional sales manager for EthosEnergy. When not traveling for work he is based out of his Upper Arlington OH home.
